Program Materials for CAPE Participants
If you are planning to attend a Center for Advanced Pediatric and Perinatal Education (CAPE) program, please:
- Wear surgical scrubs
- Wear comfortable shoes
- Bring with you everything you would normally use for patient care activities, such as stethoscopes and code cards
Prior to your program, we also require you to review the following materials and information:
- Introduction to simulation-based training document (PDF)
- Key behavioral skills
- Directions to the CAPE facility
- Applicable AAP/AHA approved texts such as:
- Textbook of Neonatal Resuscitation, 5th Ed.
- PALS Provider Manual
- ACLS Provider Manual
The ACLS provider manual is not sold by the AHA, but is available through Laerdal Corp.
You will be asked to sign copies of the documents below when you arrive at CAPE:
- Confidentiality agreement (PDF)
- Photo consent (PDF)
